Difference Between the Single Flange Pressure Transmitter and the Double Flange Pressure Transmitter
2023-10-12 16:16In the liquid level measurement, the transmitter selection is single flange type and double flange type pressure transmitter. Then, what are the differences between the two? The following will help you to understand!
1. The difference in concept.
The single flange level transmitter refers to the positive pressure side of the transmitter as a flange structure which directly connected to the interface with the measurement medium. The negative pressure side uses a pilot tube to connect the measurement medium to the volume chamber of the transmitter. The advantage of the single flange level transmitter is the high-accuracy measurement that can achieve the measurement specifications of the transmitter. The disadvantage is that the negative pressure pipeline must be sealed, and needs transmitter range migration.
The double flange level transmitter refers to the positive and negative pressure side of the transmitter flange structure, which can be directly connected with the container and pipeline to be measured. The advantage is easy to install, convenient calibration, and without range migration. The disadvantage is that the measurement accuracy is not high. On the one hand, the flange and the diaphragm pressure transmitter are connected with the elastic pipe, and the interior should be full of silicone oil, so there is a bias on the transmission of the medium pressure change. On the other hand, the external temperature changes more or less on the silicone oil has some impact, so the measurement reflects some error.
2. The difference in application.
The single flange level transmitter with open tank measurement, sometimes some instrumentation workers will also choose affordable input test level transmitter. On the contrary, the double flange level transmitter is suitable for sealed tank level measurement.
3. Level transmitter measurement principle.
The flange mounted level transmitter is a simple and reliable measuring instrument to measure the liquid level in the tank. The dp level transmitter uses the principle that the height of the liquid-level is proportional to the differential pressure measured by the level transmitter to measure the liquid level. The process of the diaphragm pressure transmitter is usually connected using a diaphragm flange type, the diaphragm filled with silicone oil as a pressure transmitting medium. Liquid tanks usually have open tanks and tanks with pressure. The upper part of the open-top tank is open to the atmosphere, so it just needs to connect the flange to the high-pressure side and connect the low-pressure side to the atmosphere. Measurement of the pressure tanks needs to connect the dp level transmitter with high and low-pressure sides connected to the diaphragm flange, to measure the high and low-pressure side of the pressure difference.
