Phenomenon 1: The vortex flow meter has no display when the fluid is flowing normally

The reason of vortex flow meter failure:

1. The power cable or fuse is disconnected or in poor contact.

2. Poor internal contact of the display instrument.

3. The coil is broken.

4. The flow channel of the sensor is faulty.

Treatment measures of vortex flow meter failure:

1. Check with an ohmmeter.

2. Check the backup version.

3. Check whether the coil has broken wires or solder joints.

4. Remove foreign materials from the sensor, and clean or replace damaged parts.

Phenomenon 2: The flow display of the vortex shedding flow meter gradually decreases

The reason of vortex shedding flow meter failure:

1. The filter is blocked.

2. The valve spool on the sensor tube section is loose, and the valve opening is reduced.

3. The sensor impeller is hindered by debris or the bearing clearance enters the foreign body, and the resistance increases.

Treatment measures of vortex shedding flow meter failure:

1. Clean the filter.

2. Determine whether the spool is loose from the effective hand-wheel adjustment of the valve.

3. Remove the sensor and remove debris. Verify the sensor if necessary.

Phenomenon 3: Vortex flow meter fluid does not flow, and the flow display is not zero

The reason of vortex flow meter failure:

1. The transmission line shield is improperly grounded.

2. The pipe vibrates and the impeller shakes accordingly.

3. The stop valve is not tightly closed.

4. Deterioration and damage of circuit boards or electronic components inside the display instrument.

Treatment measures of vortex flow meter failure:

1. Check whether the ground is properly grounded.

2. Reinforce the pipeline, or install supports before and after the sensor to prevent vibration.

3. Repair or replace the valve.

4. Use the "short circuit method" or check item by item to determine the source of interference and locate the fault.

Phenomenon 4: There is a significant difference between the display value of the vortex shedding flow meter and the empirical evaluation value

The reason of vortex steam flow meter failure:

1. The internal flow channel of the sensor is faulty.

2. The back pressure of the sensor is insufficient, resulting in cavitation, which affects the rotation of the impeller.

3. Reasons for pipeline flow.

4. Internal failure of display instrument.

5. The permanent magnet material element in the detector loses magnetism during aging.

6. The actual flow of the sensor exceeds the specified range.

Treatment measures of vortex flow steam meter failure:

1-4. Find out the cause of the failure and find countermeasures according to the specific cause.

5. Replace the lost magnetic component.

6. Replace a proper sensor
