Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter Introduction

guided wave radar level transmitter

The guided wave radar level sensor is suitable for non-contact continuous measurement of the level of liquids, slurries, granules, and blocks. The guided radar level transmitter is suitable for situations where temperature and pressure change greatly, and where inert gases and volatilization are present. The guided wave radar level sensor adopts the microwave pulse measurement method and can work normally within the industrial frequency band. The beam energy is low and can be installed in various metal and non-metal containers or pipes without harming the human body or the environment.

Principle of the Guided Radar Level Transmitter

The guided wave radar level sensor emits high-frequency microwave pulses that propagate along the detection component (steel cable or steel pipe). When encountering the measured medium, due to a sudden change in the dielectric constant, emission is caused, and part of the pulse energy is reflected. The time interval between the emitted pulse and the reflected pulse is proportional to the distance of the measured medium. The actual level value can be calculated from the time of transmitting pulses and receiving pulses recorded by the guided radar level transmitter.

High Accuracy Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter

Utilizing guided wave radar level sensor for measuring levels in both liquids and bulk solids. In this method, microwaves are sent along a cable or rod probe, bouncing off the surface of the product to determine the level.
