Metal Capacitive Pressure Sensor
A capacitor comprises two conducting plates arranged in parallel with a slight separation between them. Altering any of the factors influencing this setup will induce a proportional adjustment in the capacitance. Among these variables, the separation distance is the most straightforward to manipulate. Achieving this adjustment involves integrating one or both plates into a diaphragm structure, which reacts to pressure fluctuations by deflecting accordingly.
