Metal Capacitive Pressure Sensor

A capacitor comprises two conducting plates arranged in parallel with a slight separation between them. Altering any of the factors influencing this setup will induce a proportional adjustment in the capacitance. Among these variables, the separation distance is the most straightforward to manipulate. Achieving this adjustment involves integrating one or both plates into a diaphragm structure, which reacts to pressure fluctuations by deflecting accordingly.

capacitive pressure sensor

The capacitance pressure sensor functions as a tool for measuring pressure, transforming applied pressure into an electrical current signal, typically ranging from 4 to 20 milliamps (mA). Capacitive pressure differential sensor is widely employed in various control and monitoring scenarios, including flow regulation, airspeed measurement, level monitoring, pump systems, and altitude sensing, the capacitive differential pressure sensor proves invaluable across diverse applications.
